store the system files of the Android 3.0 operating system. Even though this might sound like a new operating system to deal with, it still has plenty of applications that are currently supported by it. The Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system is a clear winner when it comes to achieving the maximum user friendliness. It will be providing plenty of cool animations along with easy access to almost every single application that you want.

The operating system will be run by a more than capable 1 GHz dual core processor. This processor is known for delivering significant performance boost when used in the mobile phones of LG. It seems to be the same case with the tablet PC as well as this processor is expected to power the LG Optimus Pad to much greater heights. LG Optimus Pad buying guide

LG’s Optimus Pad is poised to go head-to-head with Motorola’s Xoom in 2011.

It should be interesting as well, the Xoom has some serious hardware onboard and you can expect the same thing from the LG Optimus Pad – LG never mince out on the hardware, as we all know.

After MWC 2011, the Optimus Pad is one of the big Android tablet players currently doing the rounds. Not only does it feature Android 3.0, but it's also got a dual-lens camera for shooting in 3D.

Specs: In terms of hardware and general specs not much is known. That said, what we can expect is a fairly safe bet.

1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 8.9-inch 1280×768 WXGA resolution widescreen display, and an Android 3.0 operating

Pros: As we said, LG doesn’t mess around when it comes to hardware so expect plenty of speed and processing power and a very high quality display. Essentially this will be very much the same deal as the Xoom – svelte, powerful and something Apple should be extremely worried about.

Cons: We’re reserving our judgement for this aspect until we’ve done a full-on review of the device. We must be patient – it is very hard.

Verdict: The LG Optimus Pad has all the specs and hardware you could wish for. So for this reason we reckon the Optimus Pad could very well be a thorn in the Motorola Xoom’s side.
