LG Optimus V Announced with No Contract

So far, LG Optimus V has been included by almost all US carriers in their lineups and now even prepaid carriers are offering this latest version of mid range smartphone by LG. Virgin Mobile is now introducing this fantabulous smartphone at the amazing price of only $149 and bearing no contract.

Form its first look, the LG Optimus V smartphone is perhaps the best android phone out there which one can get for such a meager amount. It’s the best value for your hard earned money. Although the phone is not out yet, however, we have news for you about its powerful specs, through the demo copy that we got from LG.

When we compare LG Optimus V with the Sprint’s version of the smartphone, both are pretty similar in physical design. Almost all versions of this smartphone are pretty identical to each other in appearance and have silver accents on the dark grey body of the phone. This combination makes the smartphone look very sleek.

The body of the LG Optimus V phone seems a bit heavier and cheap as compared to the version available from MetroPCS, but since this phone is available under a prepaid package, so such issues shouldn’t pose much of a problem to the users.

The device features Android OS’s version 2.2 out of the box, which makes it highly competitive in the market. LG Optimus V doesn’t offer the Sprint ID service, despite the fact that Sprint and Virgin mobile have partnered with each other.

LG Optimus V comes with a few preinstalled applications from Virgin Mobile; some of them are bloatware while the others are really handy.

The LG Optimus V boasts bright, clear and responsive 3.2” LCD display screen. Apart from that, the phone has a 3.2 mega pixel camera and a powerful 600 MHz processor which is enough for most of the mediocre level computing tasks.
